Search Console integration

Review organic search data with its reporting delay

Query verified Search Console properties using read-only access. Every relevant result states the expected 2–3 day data delay.

The Search Console connector reads verified properties, search-performance rows, submitted sitemaps and URL Inspection results. Performance queries can group by query, page, country, device, date or search appearance and can select web, image, video, news or Discover search where supported. Every result should name the property and exact reporting period.

This connector is read-only. It does not submit indexing requests, modify sitemaps or prove current rankings outside the returned dataset. URL Inspection reports Google's indexed view of a URL, while Search Analytics reports aggregated performance; one should not be substituted for the other. Only properties available to the connected Google account can be queried.

Supported operations

  • List verified properties
  • Read search performance
  • List sitemaps
  • Inspect a URL's index state

Current boundaries

  • Access is read-only.
  • Search Console data commonly lags by 2–3 days.
  • Only properties available to the connected account can be queried.

How to connect

  1. 1Connect Search Console from the extension.
  2. 2Review the webmasters.readonly permission.
  3. 3Select the verified property for the task.
Verified example

“Show my top queries for the last 28 complete days.”

Use synthetic or your authorised account data, then review the returned result in the conversation.

How to use Search Console reliably

  • Search Console data normally arrives with a 2–3 day delay. Missing or incomplete recent dates are a reporting delay, not evidence that clicks or impressions suddenly fell.
  • Rows are bounded and the API can omit anonymised or low-volume queries. Totals and grouped rows can therefore answer different questions, particularly when several dimensions are combined.
  • A URL inspection needs both the verified property and a full URL inside it. A successful inspection describes index state; it does not guarantee a page will rank for a particular query.
  • Position is an average across impressions, devices and locations, not a live rank check. Compare like-for-like dimensions and periods before treating movement as meaningful.

Prompt examples

“Show my top queries for the last 28 complete days and state the Search Console delay.”
“Compare clicks and impressions by device for two complete four-week periods.”
“List the sitemaps submitted for this verified property.”
“Inspect this exact page URL and explain the returned index state without making a ranking claim.”

Rate limits and freshness

Search Console applies short-term and daily load quotas to Search Analytics, plus per-site, per-user and per-project request limits. URL Inspection has separate quotas. Because the allowance depends on endpoint and query load, the connector bounds rows and should narrow expensive requests rather than promise a fixed universal rate.
