Search across an accessible workspace without browsing every Space, while respecting the permissions of the connected account.
The ClickUp connector can search tasks across an accessible Workspace and navigate the service's real hierarchy: Workspaces, Spaces, Folders, Lists and Tasks. Workspace-wide search is the preferred route for questions about status because the user does not need to know a Space or List identifier in advance. A selected task can then be read with its actual provider fields.
Task creation is the supported write. It requires a verified List, a title and an optional description. The connector does not currently edit, move, close or delete tasks. Visibility always follows the connected ClickUp account, so an empty result means no matching accessible data was returned, not that the organisation has no such work.
Current boundaries
- Visibility depends on the connected ClickUp account.
- An empty Space list does not prove there are no accessible tasks.
- Task modification and deletion are not available.

How to use ClickUp reliably
- Status names are workspace data, not universal labels. If a filter such as in progress returns nothing or ClickUp rejects it, the connector should inspect unfiltered tasks and preserve their real status names.
- Listing Spaces alone is not a complete task search. Tasks may remain discoverable through workspace-wide search even when the visible hierarchy is sparse or permission-limited.
- Creating a task should remain on Ask unless the destination List and resulting content are routine and intentionally automated. The response should retain the new task identifier as evidence.

Rate limits and freshness
ClickUp publishes per-token request limits that vary by Workspace plan. Lower plans receive less throughput than Business Plus or Enterprise, and a 429 response includes headers describing the current limit and reset. The connector should respect those headers rather than assuming one limit for every customer.
